01-03-2013, 08:12 AM
Wow! Weird :)

Yea since when is there Arnold for LW? :D I think this isn't LW 250.000.000 won't fit in Layout.

I hope It's not the Fusion-Arnold connection we're seeing here at work:)

01-03-2013, 08:31 AM
It was made by Juanjgon, the guy that is making the Octane Lightwave plugin.

Ya, and this makes me hope that the Lw-Arnold connection is someone around the corner....but why should I care?Arnold is only for the big studios anyway...Still good news tho:)

Great stuff ! I'll be keeping an eye out on this too. You're on a roll Juan

01-04-2013, 12:30 AM
Amazing stuff! and by the way did the info say 250,000 or 250,000 000 particles?
Getting confused by the figures here but sure would be ridiculous to think its 250, 000 000 particles would'nt it? :D

01-04-2013, 05:54 AM
250 millions particles and unfortunately it's not the particle limit in LW that's been raised, it's the procedural from Arnold that we're seeing her as far as I understand...

01-04-2013, 06:52 AM
Holy cow!! Now thats a jaw dropper.

01-04-2013, 07:11 AM
Double post!
How long is this going to go on before this is fixed? :(

01-06-2013, 11:34 AM
Especially impressive when you think how much calculation it takes to zoom in on mandelbrots. I remember my poor amiga crawling through such stuff in the nineties and that was 2D!

Hey Juan,
When do we get the 'smarts' on this ?

I tried the dough hook in my woman's MagiMix

but i couldn't get the flour to blend like that!

So what's the recipe? (mucho respecto)

01-07-2013, 10:19 AM
Yes, please let us know info on Arnold and Lightwave! Very good news!

01-07-2013, 11:39 AM
Holy shizzle, 250million particles, looks like dough when yeast is working inside the stuff. Amazing!

01-08-2013, 05:24 AM
Perhaps his announcement is tied into the LW11.5 release?

01-08-2013, 05:37 AM
We can only wish:)
But, as far as I'm concerned this has nothing to do with Upcoming release. Arnold will be out of beta soon tho, how soon, I've got a feeling that it's the "Blizzard" type of soon...

01-08-2013, 06:14 AM
Where does that lie on the soon time line compared to Duke Nukem Forever and Newtek 'soon'?

01-08-2013, 06:55 AM
Blizzard's soon - i believe it's a 4 to 8 years bracket. Newtek's soon, rhe old Newtek was between 3-6, Duke Nukem's soon is >10 years, just my observations:)
