Hi all,
in the effort of allowing most users to use LW 64 AND modeler 64, i'm trying to contact developers to ask a recompile of some important missing plugins.
As you know, and as i stated othet times in other threads like this, most use lay 64 and Mod 32 because of this, and it's a true mess in managing plugins (i.e. you have to install both 32 and 64 bit versions of all shaders/nodes because you could lose stuff when you go from/to layout).
LW 11.5 will adress some of the missing ones, LW cad did a huge job too, but still we miss these tools (or similar ones) in 64 bit flavors.
If you know who developed the ones i miss the authors of, please let me know. Please also add other MODELER plugins you would like to see in 64bit flavor, and i'll make a mailing once i've all the data.

Path to Motion Plus is Dstorm. The lwplugindb says there is a 64 bit version.

Nitsara Das plugins would be great to have in 64bit or even equivalent functions.

http://www.danielefederico.it/works.php?pag=script had some nice tools I used for lw 9. Still relevant if using lw 9 like the weld tools.

Hi,
thanks all ! Up to now that's what i came out with:

- edge relax - mailed at [email protected]

- path to motion - mailed [email protected]

- Di Federico - compiled form on website

- Sherpa: easyspline is commercial :) And Strand Maker has not control over subdivision, while Sherpa has it. Anyway, there's a 64 bit version: http://www.hurleyworks.com/products/lightwave/modeler_plugins.html

- SetValue Tool (realtime set value) - didnt find author but easily replaceable with Centertools in Lw 11+ (not as powerful tough).

- Taut.p - didnt find the author. I hope NT offers a replacement soon !

- Open Edge Extender - FI's page is not available anymore. You can find 32 bit version here: http://www.lwplugindb.com/Plugin.aspx?id=e46e6733 LW11.5 has a similar tool, but this was better since it detects where geometry is open, and it will extend only open edges. Would be a nice improvement of current tool.

Let me know if there's more,
thanks
Paolo

EDIT
- "edge relax" code is now owned by Liberty 3d, so let's wait they update it.

Do we have 64bit versions of heatpress, ko pointfit, bg conform plus?
Lw 11.5 will have something like this but for lw 9.6 users moving to 64bit might be nice.

no, sadly we dont... i already did some investigation some time ago on these, i gave up when i saw heatshrink in 11.5, whihs solves 99%.

hello to all....
I'm desperately looking to pictrix "re_size" 64bit version... or similar.
in particular the "dachshund" feature.. really useful and unique (or maybe I'm missing something from LW core..)

thanks!
