I have guides parented to an animated dummy to apply them FFX. I use clothfx and metalink to get that. But I would like to use a mdd to animate those guides. I tried md baker to get a mdd from the guides but when loading it the guides stay at last frame, without animation. What's wrong?

not sure, it's easier to use the "save motion" option in the clothfx panel to bake the mdd, try that, see if it can help...

I thought metalink was not compatible with mdd baker but what happens is the animation I received starts at 1800f not at 0 so I miss add an offset when loading it

This was the misterious thing :)

Thanks anyway, Master Erikals

Try using Scan Motion in ClothFX to re-bake your .mdd. It's been more reliable for me in situations like this one. I'm not completely sure but it might even be required if you're using other FX tools like FX Metalink.

Ah, I just read where you got it to working. Nevermind. :)

hm, wonder why there is both a "save motion" and "scan motion" option, wouldn't it be better just to use "scan motion" in all cases?

maybe "scan motion" is slower, might be the reason...
