Make sure all the images you have posted have Copyright approval from your friends & sources as your images could be used for further publishing & leave your exposed.

Remove all images & close your account to be safe by mid Jan 2013.

I heard this on Aust radio ABC RN this morning.

They're already backtracking, scared that their $ 1 billion investment will evaporate. Just typical of how a fun creative app becomes a cynical business plan to make users the product.

They've learned nothing from Flickr where users are assumed to be intelligent, treated with respect and served with a range of progressive copyright options.

I'd go with delete your account. Talk about corporate overreach.

Is there a hold-harmless/indemnity clause in their new policy? If not, let them worry about the repercussions of using photos without model releases, ripped off images to which the accountholder has no copyright claim, and other DMCA violations that could generate one big, fat class action suit against Instagram/Facebook.

Someone got greedy and forgot to think this all the way through.
