Hi,

i just have build a new computersystem for my vt2 and now no signal come claerly to the toaster.
I have tryed it with a dvd plaver, a hi8 camera over svideo but have no luck.
I can see that there is some signal but it is with stripes and mostly red.

Someone have told me that maybe the powerbox from the computer or the mainboard are disturbing the signal.
Can that be?

Or do i just missed something to switch in the preverence.
The computer is a p4 2,4 ghz with 1 gig ram on a asus p4c800-edeluxe board and enough of hd.
The powerbox is a 450watt noiseblocker or so.

Please help.
Thank you.

With best regards

Is the signal under "preferences" set up for y/c or for component? "Preferences" is accessed via the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Further, are you using an SX-8 or going directly into the toaster card?

i have no bob so going directly to the toaster.

i know where the preference is but i can not find where to choose y/c or for component ?

But if i try to capture i choose y/c down in the capture tab.

I'm not at the computer right now, but go to preferences and it should be about the fifth or sixth entry down from the top. I don't even remember what it is called (maybe "input"?), but I had a bad signal until I found that setting.

in the preference there is y/c under output in the fifth row.

but it was so before.

So now i have placed the card from the second pci slot to the first and then after it helped not to the 5th pci slot but the signal is still bad.

Also i have rotate and moved the power suply to see if it makes the signal bad but it does not.

So now i dont now what to do.

I have caled two toaster sellers here in germany but both can not help me.

Mabe someone from newtek can !?

With best regards

Wo bist du genau? Ich bin in Aschaffenburg.

Are you sure that the cables going into the toaster are all good? The S-Video cables are good?
