Hey all,

I'm using vertex paint in modeler to setup my weightmaps for a relatively simple character and i'm having an issue i can't seem to solve... i'm having a problem when painting on faces where it will paint on the faces behind it. I've got Front checked, which works for faces behind that are facing the opposite direction but it doesn't work at all when there are faces behind that face the same direction.
Is there anyway to make the tool more accurate, or is there a better solution to painting bone weights?

Well the handy thing in LW is you can cut your geometry into different layers, paint the individual bits and then paste them back together and merge points if necessary, so you can break up complex bits this way if you need to.

Ahh thanks for the info Dodgy... i actually was doing that on another mesh that was already broken into layers and never thought of doing that here. :)
