View Full Version : How to offset mdd start time of instances?

Hi

I have an object with a mdd file applied to it and instanced with LW instancer. I'd like to vary the motion start time depending on the distance from a null.
This setup works for varying colour but I can't get it to work for motion.

I haven't tried this with DP instance yet but would like to get it working with LW instancer if I can. Any help gratefully appreciated:D

you canīt offset the MDD - playback with LW instancer.

Actually there's no way to offset a MDD animation for instances

LW Instancer or DP Instancer (LW11 Instancing)
are able to offset time for transformations only,
including children transformations (move/rotate/scale) but
no displacement (including bones, mdd, displacement textures)

You can setup offset time for displacement in HD Instance and DP Instance
however they both use a specific file format for baking animation.
