Hey there,

I've been following Lightwave for quite some time now(since 8.0) and read a lot of subtle workflow changes in the interface.
I forgot a lot of these useful shortcuts, which as far I know have been added. Perhaps someone can help me with these?

- A way to quickly copy colors of surfaces(without opening color panel)
If I remember correctly this could be done with the middle-mouse button

- Changing XYZ-scale at the same time in the surface panel, ditto for in Layout
- Selecting a surface from a VPR render.

Perhaps you know other useful shortcuts in the newer versions of LW, I would like to hear them. :)

well.. I know the "selecting a surface from a VPR render" is Shift+LMB
I'm not sure about the others though. All my "shortcuts" are just plugins that I've added to my dock.. not much of shortcuts.. more like time savers haha

Thanks, that answers part of my question. :)

I recall reading something mentioned during the cycle of LW 9 that was an easy way to copy and paste colours from different surfaces.
I would also really like to have a way to change XYZ scale in the same movement, is there a way?
Anyone? :)

alt-rmb: copy color
ctrl-rmb: paste color

Whilst moving an object in layout, press alt to have it snap to another item.

Those are the ones I know of and am practicing.

As to wholesale scaling, capital-h doesn't do it for you?

Thank you UncommonGrafx, those were what I was looking for.

Concerning the scaling: I'm looking for scale textures/dimensions in the Surface Editor. As far as I know this doesn't work with the Scale-tool. :)

No ALT is needed for copying color, just RMB and CTRL+RMB to paste

Do I need to be in the surface editor/colour picker for this to work? Can't get it working..

Never mind, figured it out.
No need to dig up the picker but needed to call up surface editor.
Its really cool. ;)
