Hey all,

Here's my situation:
I've got a "master scene" with several products and I'm trying to export several objects that are parented to a null. It's a whole bunch of parts that make up a bottle. Only problem is.. I can't figure out how to export them..
doing a "File>Save>Save Current Object" will only save one of the 6 objects I need. Am I missing something?

alright.. ended up using the script "One click scene to object" found here: http://www.interialabs.de/lw/lscript/index.html
Still didn't create one .lwo but bundled them together in one folder so i just opened them all and cut / pasted them into one.

Try doing a search for scene2modeler. That one comes to mind right now but I think there are other tools out there that do a batch saved transform. Sorry, too lazy to attempt a plugin search through my phone right now.

http://svenart.de/lscripts.htm

Itīs nr.4 in the list. Please check the readme first, after you understood how it works it should be easy to use.

No need to copy/paste. Use View/Layers/Collapse Object

It works with layers but I think he is talking about different objects

You can also export a fbx and import that in modeler. It only looses the shading but you can easily copy paste those back. Scene to modeler is a bit more complex ;)

I don't see a view / layers / collapse object anywhere.. I see the View menu at the top.. where is that?

Thanks! I'll try this out. I did a search on the forums but didn't find anything.

@Svenart, What's the difference between package scene and your SaveProject script? Sounds like something I need right about now.

I never used package scene, so I dont really know.

I have written saveproject, so I can store easily all textures, models and scenefile in one folder to sent it to clients. While writing this script, I had no idea that package scene exist. Later I heard, that packagescene has a few bugs, but Iīm really not sure if or how it works now.

My suggestion is try first the package scene, and if it is not working try it with Saveproject. I think there is also a small readme file explaining the script. If you have any more questions, just let me know.

Actually it seems like your plugin is faster and simpler than the package scene so I added that to my shelf :P
Thanks a lot.. it's very useful for my current job.
