View Full Version : Bullet Dynamics - Deactivation Time isn't working

OK, so I've been going nuts trying to figure out how to stop my pieces (Fractured) from wiggling after they 'explode' from hitting a static body.
I've tried everything.
Increasing friction
Increasing density
No bounciness
Collision Margin

Dynamics Framerate

The manual says this about Deactivation Time: This allows you to control when dynamic items are set to rest
by Bullet. Measured in seconds, this value sets how long a dynamic itemís linear or
rotational speed has to be under the threshold settings, before they are then put to
sleep by Bullet. This helps control any jittering of items near the end of a simulation.
Sleeping items will naturally be awoken if they are disturbed by any further collisions.

I think what's happening is that my pieces are still touching so they jiggle.

We need a 'force' Deactivate or something.

Any ideas, solutions?

Not really, I've experienced similar. Some sims rest nicely others jiggle no matter what I do.

Let's hope this improves as the feature matures.
