Have you noticed the warning sign Newtek has on the new Tricasters and 3Play about not leaving the media drives in the SATA dock when transporting or shipping the units . This is because the weight of the drives in the dock will warp the case and dock. We have added storage for the media drives in our 455 /855 and 8000 road cases that allow you to safely store the drives when transporting the Tricaster or 3Play in our cases.

check out our full line of cases for Tricaster and 3Play .

Nice cases!

I thought they recommended removing them for safety from shock and vibration during transport (UPS dropping units, the TV truck/trailer bouncing down the interstate, etc...)

Thanks! Our cases are shock mounted however it is still recommended that the media drives be stored separately when in transport. Inertia can still cause damage to the internal SATA dock and chassis. . Better to be safe than sorry :)
