View Full Version : boolean an uv mapped object.

I have a object almost ready for the client, but now he wants a few holes into some planks (its a boat). However, this planks are already uvmapped. If I use now boolean substract to put holes into the planks, the uvmap is not working anymore.

So, is there generally a way to use boolean operations on uvmaps? Can someone give me a hint or knows a workaround?

-Before the Boolean Operation, Unweld (Ctrl+U) everything on the UV'ed object and Triple each object that has non-planar polygons.
-Boolean
-Select all Polygons in the UV'ed object, Merge Polygons(if you Tipled it) and Merge Points.
