I haven't found a way to save my setting on the XD series, without exiting and coming back in.
Situation: Tricaster crashes or reboots, when it comes back I loose any changes from last. ie audio levels, DDR bins etc.

Right now we have to remember to restart 5mins before live, and then any changes done during the show we loose.

I like it.

Would be nice to a button at the top that says Save Settings.

I agree with Dan. Existing and restarting the software is currently the only way to save the changes in your session.

Just for discussion, note that this specific need could be approached from the other end as well - with "clone session" or possibly "template sessions".

Yep, as long as you can do it while live. We had a situation this weekend where the TC would reboot a few times over the 10hr show, and each time we'd have to scramble to get things back to where we left off in the show.

I was thinking a "template" option would be good from the session menu, but I think it makes more sense to do it from Live Production, and would be extremely helpful.

And they made us template sessions in the new software, nice! This forum section works!

It does, yep (although this was first implemented in 3Play 4800, and migrated to TriCaster).
