View Full Version : Industrial Ethernet

I would like to see a Industrial Ethernet (http://www.ruggedcom.com/applications/industrial/) solution. For example: Neutrik EtherCon (http://www.neutrik.com/en/industrial/ethercon/) connectors and cabling.

Webcasting is critical to the TriCaster but the consumer connections and cabling are a constant concern. Why leave this critical aspect to the trust of cheap PC parts?

Nice idea, even better would be two ports/NICs, one for LAN (livetext ivga etc) and then a WAN one to keep traffic separate.

Just a note, if the port on the back is damaged on a shoot, you can connect directly to the port on the motherboard in a pinch.

I was thinking about two seperate Lan connectors (seperate Networks), so the livestream could be on its own dedicated line, so the traffic of IVGA/Airplay sources would not block the streaming line.
