View Full Version : Delete weight map from Layout?

Hi,

I've doing some character animation which is being exported to unity and I'm having some problems with the bone weighting.

I mistakenly had a duplicate weight map on one of the bones which was not required, so in modeller I deleted the vertex map. Fine, you'd think.

But in layout the unwanted weightmap is still in the weight maps list as though its been saved in the scene rather than with the object.

I've tried replacing the object for something without weight maps and the all the weights appear to stay in the scene.

Unity seems to make the bone in question use the unwanted map so I need to work out how to delete the vertex map from layout.

Any ideas?

Ah the old shut down lightwave and restart purges the weight list.

Didn't solve the unity error though. That turned out to be the fact I was using a combination of joints and z axis bones in my rig.

All sorted now :)
