Are possible to calculate the frame time without rendering?

Thanks!

No.

If you have previously done a render at least once hit "W" for scene statistics and it will give you the render time for your latest render.

Would it be possible to give a very rough idea from the first pass from something like VPR? I'm not a programmer, but obviously VPR does some rudimentary calculations on its first pass - would it be possible to extrapolate a rough time from that sort of data?

From 1st frame, to 2nd and x frame, when there is animation - not quite..

But from half res to full res, absolute same settings, without AA, more possible.

I rendered mine bathroom scene at 25% quality:

11.6 GI, 64.1 sec

50% quality:

41.5 GI, 240.4 sec

there is 4x more pixels..

Prediction:

11.6 * 4 = 46.4 sec (real is 41.5)
64.1 * 4 = 256.4 sec (real is 240.4)
64.1 - 11.6 = 52.5 * 4 = 210.0 (render with subtracted GI)
240.4 - 41.5 = 198.9

Thanks, Sensei, it should work!

It would be beautiful if someone invent a small plugin
where can put various characteristics and it calculate all.

Nice one Sensei. I see your point about animations - again, perhaps something that evaluated every nth frame at a low resolution, perhaps a user-defined spacing?

I just exhibit My stage design sketches
and want to understand how much cost the rendering.

There are some if are interest (W.Shakespeare "Midsummer Night's Dream").
