Hey all,

Unfortunately, I've got a couple jobs coming up that I'm going to have to use 3DS Max (and secretly LW ;) ) I just wanted to ask in advance if anyone knew what the "most popular" forum is for Max. I've got the 3ds max Bible book, but just wanted a forum as a secondary resource.
Thanks in advance!

How do you like the MAX bible? I don't need a book to teach me modeling just guide me through the tools, form, and function of Max. I;ve decided Maya would be better for me to pick up first though. My area seems to want all Maya.

Max Bible is pretty good. I don't think it's got any modeling "tutorials" It's pretty much just all in-depth tool overview / uses. It's the 2010 version though.. so It could be slightly different.. i suspect not much different though. It's a great reference tool. I understand Maya is super used.. I much prefer XSI for TD stuff though just cause of ICE.. It's a little different getting used to the modifier stack though.
A forum would be more useful though ;)

I'm aware of the Area forums and the maxforums.org site.. just didn't know if there was one that was used most out there as the "most popular / most user responses" one.
