does somebody know more about the hypervoxel picture on this site (scroll down a little bit) - https://www.lightwave3d.com/overview/

it looks really great, the clouds and the fire.

are the scenes in the sample scene content ?

i am very interested in how the images/scenes are made, would be cool to have some tutorials on this.

The fire was from an animation David Ridlen did using Hypervoxels... it's here on YouTube.

Not doing Hypervoxels down too much, but it does take a lot of skill and effort to create something this impressive using HV. BUT, it's possible, and that's what counts!

Don't know any thing about the clouds one, but it's a lovely image!

thanks for the tip lardbros, yes the fire looks really impressive, canīt believe it is HV, i really like HV but it is often hard to get good results.

watching around on youtube i found this, looks amazing :) http://mutinyfx.com/learning.html

No worries...

you should check out David's youtube channel, and all other work he has done... he's the king of LightWave particles and HV... seeriously impressive work!

Nice link by the way! Thanks for that!! :)

Yes..he has done some great fire samples with hv, but a lot of postprocessing, and I think quite a lot of effort to work with wind setups to get it right.

I love playing with voxels too, but Turbulence is the thing mostly if you can afford it and if the scene itself can handle it, there might be situations that you still may have to resort to particles and volumetric shaders as voxels.

hereīs some of my old fooling arounds, misc effects, volumetric and sprite, different techniques not only fire effects.

Particle effect..testing velocity fields and huge amount of particles..

Mushroom bomb test...didnīt have time to perfect it though..

some fire test with sprites..two emitters some hypertextures..

a little more fire test..more flame convection, only tiny tiny sprite particles without hypertextures..

some background effects with hypervoxels sprites on displaced geometry..so fun how versatile voxels are and can be used for many effects...(even if it is time to Update it now please newtek)

TurbulenceFD fluids..for more realism..

his tree burst looks amazing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGZbMJcKLYs&list=PLF235A7DAF064EB77&index=2&feature=plcp

nice samples @prometheus, i like the flame :) and yes turbulence would be an alternative but i could not afford it yet :)
