A few years ago (around '99), I created a project with an IK chain following a goal. It worked fine then, but when I load the project up now, the chain jitters around while following the goal. I assume that since it worked originaly, the upgrade to 7.5 might have something to do with it.

I have tried changing both the goal strength and the stiffness of the bones to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Well, IK has been given a major overhaul and some things work differently nowadays. You need to adjust your motion controllers. Disable all channels that do not need to be controlled on the motion panel. Tweaking your goal strength is also a good idea. Also check the rest rotation of your bones. The IK system is very sensitive to things that are not properly aligned to the +Z axis.

Thanks Mylenium. I turned off the extra channels and that seems to have helped. I appreciate your advice!
