Havent had time to investigate myself, so Im going a shortcut route with this question.

Has anyone got any notion of a procedural texture with generation of symbols like maths, astrological or myth symbols?
It sure would be sweet with a text generating procedural too.

I recall a digital number procedural texture some time ago, but I would something more advanced if there is one?

Havent seen anything in dpontīs rman collections, it has some simple shape bomber, but not more than that.
The simbiont shaders hasnīt got anything, not sure about ifw textures.

Thanks

Michael

I think there is a text node in IFW2 texture collection that makes what you need.

perhaps, but not sure..maybe the digitalīs are to matrixed/dotted, I would need more clean image shapes, and I would also need variation options preferably as with dpontīs Rman procedural shape bomber and pipes.
image shown with and a(experimental)subtle image from fractal 9000 to give a more etheral look inside.

Use any font in your system.
It's pretty clean.

Fun! Love the look. Hope you post the final result.

It's the bombing, though, of the text I don't see how to get.

This might be something for Dpont to look in to if he thinks it can be done, the shape bomber is great in the way that you get a sort of depth dimension where shapes seems to be underlying and fuzzy in different layers.

A font bomber would be sweet if it also can handle mathematical fonts and symbolic fonts.

or one has to use the hardway with mapping of several layers I guess.

can't you just make a bitmap of each letter and use image bomber?

Yes of course, dunno why I didnīt test that more, maybe because image bomber might be a little unstable when using it with vpr, I got quite a few crashes with it.
Anyway..I think it might work after initial tests..looks good, need to collect some more symbols first and see how it goes, but I have other stuff to work on right now..a little later and Iīll get back.

Thanks.
