I am very proud to announce my first official indie game (built with Lightwave and Unity) is now live and available on the app store for all iOS devices.

Synopsis
Playing in traffic should never be this much fun! Heavy Traffic places you in the middle of a busy freeway as you speed through an ever-increasing wave of oncoming motorists. Quick reflexes and sheer driving prowess are all that's keep you moving forward towards your destination. Collect fuel and repairs to keep the wheels turning on the way to 100,000 miles and beyond!

It is available on iTunes here:
Heavy Traffic App Store (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/heavy-traffic/id551996981?ls=1&mt=8)

Additional screens shots, details and news about the upcoming car packs are on the official site here:

Just bought it. Fun game.
Thank you for making it play on the older 8Gig 3G. It's the same as a 2G.

Cool stuff, love the style of the cars and always great to see LW and Unity being used by others :)

PLan to get an android version ?

My first question. It looks like a fun game but I'm no apple user.

No ETA yet, but I am in the process.

Cool, since Unity also exports to Android I don't expect it should be a big problem.

Looks great but these days ( starting with 3gs) you can easily get specular and fake reflections while still running at very good frame rates on iOS devices.

Especially on cars, specular/reflections would look soo much better ..

True, but I was purposefully targeting devices much lower than the 3gs so it could hit the widest user range possible. Plus, I actually preferred the more painted look they ended up with.

I downloaded it and gave it a try on ym RAZR Maxx. I figured out that tilting changes the speed but how do you change lanes? I tied swiping and tapping, neither seemed to do anything.

Hold the device flat, as if it's laying on a table. Steering is done by tilting the device toward or away from you. Or you can also switch to a single thumb-based control on the vehicle select screen if you tap the "tilt/thumb" sign. There's an update coming that will allow you to offset the play angle and tweak the input ratio a bit.

Just Downloaded the game and played it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Android tablet and it plays well, as far as I can tell so far. But it seriously needs a Quit Game button! Not so good to have to use End Task to quit. Hope to see this in an update soon.

That will also included in the update I mentioned above along with some other new stuff. There's new quit options off the main menu and from the pause menu when driving. The 1.6 update is being submitted this weekend and should be available on the android store fairly soon and probably on itunes sometime later this week after it goes through the approval process.

Fun title, thanks. My only critivcism is the lack of a quit button - you've already addressed that in thse comments.
Looking forward to your next title - looks like it's going to be a lot of fun too.

Thanks for the support and feedback guys, it's really appreciated. Update 1.6 has been officially submitted for both platforms. Android should be live anytime now and ios should be appearing hopefully later this week once it clears the approval process.

I am very excited about it, it's been a long solo development effort and is finally nearing completion for the initial launch.
