I'm thinking of doing a tutorial on this. Perhaps for 3D World if they're interested. Fluid dynamics in blender, everything else in LightWave 11.0.3.

Looks great.

motion blur? :)

There's is some. If the "accurate" amount was added you couldn't even tell they were ice cubes. In fact in the first one the cube entering the glass is practically a total blur.

So are you using splotchdogs new version plugin? I haven't had a chance to try the new plugin but the old worked fairly well for one project I did.

There isn't a new version I'm afraid. The last version was released for LW 9.6 but it still works in LW 11. That's what I'm using. I talked to him and he hinted that something would be coming related to this. He didn't specifically say a new version but something that would help with it.

Why not render in Blender? The cross platform thing might confuse the tutorial, unless it's just to show how at the end you can import everything into your favorite render platform.
Personally I'd like to see the process anyway, in 3D World or not.

Because I'm a LightWave user. I like LightWave's surfacing and render engine. Nothing's official yet but I believe it is going to 3D World.

Nice - I'll have to have a relook at 3D World if you talented chaps keep adding tutorials in there. Haven't bought it in several years due to lack of LW specific content.

They do have some LightWave articles in there, but not enough. That's why I specifically wanted to do this one for them. There's also a thread on the forum here encouraging LW users to start writing tutorials for them.

Nice you may have a tutorial published.

I already have one in 3D World #143. :p
