Finally! This is the sort of tool I've been needing in LW as I just find rigging so hard compared to other apps.

Now I can get some 'life' inside Layout!

I understand the use of rigs with model tools too. Cool!

the idea of being able to change a model and have the rig change with the changes of your model sounds especially neat.

Genoma looks very good...But I think newtek must provide some motion capture library ready to use with biped rigs...Special window in layout may be help to choose and apply mocap files to genoma rigs...if we mix and edit (retarget) mocap files easily, Genoma can be killer feature for LW...

This sounds like one of my favorite features from our dead friend Animeeple, not just the library, there are tons of those for free online, but the preview window to see what looks like before loading it.

There's one thing though, that has not been demoed as for motion capture. We see Lino creating his scene in Motion Builder and export as a FBX in Lightwave. OK.
What I would like to know, is if the mocap rig of genoma allows for easy import of BVH file (with all the caveats about bvh files, but I guess the carnegie mellon university can be found as MB-friendly bvh files) and reanimation on top of it like with the fbx file. Lino, is it possible to do that in a easier way than currently ?
Thanks in advance for any reply.

Looks nice. Anyone have a link to the animation of the two headed beast he mentions?

Hello Mr.Grandi,
For 11.5 Launch> Now til then:

1) Please can we have an Octopus Rig
+ A Sub Rig Tentacle!

2) Mo-cap provenfiles Content

3) Part of,Or Whole Bi-ped Human Muscled Rig
+ Quadra (Dog) Muscled Rig

Still using Genoma a hint at a Facial Muscled Rig for LW12

How many Chars can we run live depending on size (mesh) &
complexity with Genoma.
Or can can we bake/ record a Char and upon playback later
move a live animated Char next to it.?
Record again etc?

P.S. NewTek have to buy you a Elvis Costume real Soon!

Very, very impressive but I'm wondering how easy these tools are to use for a novice? Lino is a pro at what he does. If I had these, could I do this?
