Looked pretty good, wish there was more in the modelling area, but the potential for more interactive tools is there as well as snapping features, so I see this as the first step towards those goals.

I actually got some very good results with Ustream's iPhone app. Was out at a Starbucks' and the full screen on my MBP was choppy at best.

Who is handling the audio.
At least here at home the audio is a roller coaster of up and down.
Especially during the demo reel type stuff. Mostly inaudible.

Kiki just announced that the topic for 9.30 is virtual sets but the schedule says softbodies. Is there an updated schedule (or did I read the schedule wrong)?

The genoma looks very exciting..
looking at flocking now, cool..finally rubberband node connections.

A little funny, Ivé nagged about the annoyance of feeding numeric values in to texture values, and suggested a global scale or lock in order to avoid errors while feeding values in and also make it faster to tweak settings.

In this showcase he misses to put the right value in for one axis, and consequently, have do feed it in again..that is to feed in values four times.
Trust me..put a global scale and or lock somewhere and you would only have to do it Once.:D

lovely stuff shown otherwise, and the showreel from Khalid, I mean..he is disgusting...and that is giving a completly different property to that word, it is disgusting good work, awesome is another word too.

Oops..the heat shrink presentation failed a long time, since the tool didn´t work properly on the presentation,
I lost interest an started to do and watch something else, and at that time he got it right, but I missed some of it, seems more interactive than I thought, a little similar to modo´s deform constrain, but not quite.

Brave guys anyway doing live presentations, it´s not easy.

It was more a user error than program.
Forgot to actively "pick" the object to "shrink".
Perhaps a shot on "Guest" appearance might be nice for the viewers at home. Please.

yeh works just like modo..esp as they did the thicken thing afterward...just like the demo video on lux site putting lables on a plastic container in the product pack

I'm wondering how much disk space "Virtual Takes" rake up?
Anyone know?

it's just text for xyz and hpb...not much
a full body mocap is just a text file

Not sure that it works like modo exactly, this was a thin polydivided segment that was shrinked/wrapped on background layer

Ivé seen a full sphere pressed against another form and deformed by that form in modo, so I do not think we can expect that.

There is allready a thread for this... Actually, NewTek starts a new thread for each day regarding the livestream... no need for this...

EDIT: http://forums.newtek.com/forums/showthread.php?t=129853

So, please... don't start another thread... NT will take care of that stuff...

:)
