I just purchased a 3D object from turbosquid.com. it comes in multiple formats, however, the only format that has the materials that the seller shows in the thumbnails are in a .LXO format. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN I OPEN THIS FILE!!! LIGHTWAVE 11 WON'T OPEN IT!! PLEASE HELP ME ASAP. I NEED THIS TO WORK TODAY.

LXO is Modo

That's Modo's file format.

You could download a trial demo, open the file, figure out how to navigate Modo's surfacing paradigm, and then export image maps, etc to get as much surfacing as possible that can then be re-built in LW.

Not exactly a one-click solution, but that's about the best you've got.
