Jiggle...

is it possible to make something like that in LW?...

SoftFX can do it, but i wonder if there is any realtime solution?

hm, maybe i should just get "Whirley Points"...

(anyone knows if it's LW11 compatible?)

A rumour goes around about soft bullet... but it's just a rumour... are Newtek's gods listening :) ?

bullet softbodies does it.

And Newtek already did, first time bullet have been launched, but need to fix self collisions....

Softfx also does it but do not respect intern volum.

yeah, was looking for a realtime solution though,
even though i know Bullet softbodies are fast...

Mike Green also have a spring dynamics plugin.

But getting the effect realtime is really cool!

Also, FIs Lagmotion and FIs flabby might be useful.

yeah, only 32bit, but fine by me...
true, they might do the trick... http://erikalstad.com/backup/misc.php_files/smile.gif

Using the weight map option you can do some interesting things.

hm, i noticed Inertia does not work with displacements and endomorphs... http://erikalstad.com/backup/misc.php_files/devil.gif

while FI's Lagmotion does (32bit only, sorry 64/Mac people) http://erikalstad.com/backup/misc.php_files/bday.gif

I think this technique have been used in the first JURASSIC PARK dynosaurs, when there was no muscle system yet. They used several nulls with spring dynamics driven weightmaps deformation so get the balance of skin.

Once in Lightwave only bones drive weightmaps, a bone can be attached to the null.

But I would also love see nulls or objects driven weightmaps in lightwave like in maya CLUSTERS.

yes, this is a great time-saving trick...

can't compete with dynamics, but holds up good for selected cartoon animations.

just looking into how far LW can kick it without dynamics.

(though testing some dynamics setups over here too, it seems dynamics are vital to get a realistic result for shoulder deformations combined with arm twists) unfortunately :]

so digging into that as well...

You might be able to mdscan the inertia driven deformations and then add endomorphs etc on top of that.

myeah, workaround.... :]

(another one, hehe) ;]

As they say,a journey of a thousand steps begins with a single workaround. :)

LoL, never hear that one :] a keeper! :D

Yes and isnt walking simply a workaround for not being able to fly? :)
