View Full Version : Ambient Occlusion Pass - Full Gray Scale Image

Is there a way to take my fully developed scene with textures and surfaces and render it as a sort of ambient occlusion pass. Basically having only gray objects?

Of course I could duplicate all the assets and texture them default. But was hoping there was a feature/technique I'm not aware of. Thanks for any input.

Apart from copying the assets & scene as you mentioned the easiest way to have global control/overrides over all materials & shading is shaderMeister from db&w. Cracker of a plugin that !

The other way, I only just got this so haven't had as much time to play with it, is TrueArt's GlobalMaterials.

They both do different things but will give you what you're after.

... if you have LW11 - you can render our the AO pass through the Comp Buffers.
