The tutorials are still around. They are on newtek's youtube and ftp site. Lightwiki has a lot of them up as well. The problem you're most likely running into is outdated links in posts and on ther sites.

These are old but still relevant;

Interactive list.

Forum listings.

Perform a search in YouTube for the teacher par excellence William Vaughan, where you can find more up to date tutorials on subjects like the node editor.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=William+Vaughan&oq=William+Vaughan&gs_l=youtube.12..0l2.101732.105123.0.106323.2.2.0. 0.0.0.50.73.2.2.0...0.0.9tzOO7ovuOI

Hope this helps.

The issue is more like..PUT IT HERE(lightwave product site, main menu, tutorials) and fix all stuff that was up before, including 24 hour training and all williams stuff.

How hard can it be to make life easier for Newteks customer?, otherwise we will see a lot of this frowning faces in the future from more customers than the thread starter.

everything within the copyrights of newtek should be in one place not scattered around in different places, just my thoughts.

I understand completly the frowning face.

Michael

Don't worry guys. I have it on good authority that Newtek is a week away from launching it's new revamped site. All the tutorials will be categorized and in one place, plus the whole layout of pages has been given a total overhaul and now makes sense. They said it has a clean but cool look with plenty of well chosen eye candy and a thorough going over of LW's features and pipeline usage. They hired an agency to reevaluate their message/product and streamlined the whole thing so that website will be like a window into the LW universe. I can't wait.

...I will be waiting a long time because I just made that up.

there's no meanness in posts written by lightwavers, only hidden messages... http://erikalstad.com/backup/misc.php_files/012.gif

If the links were to the forums, then the URL just needs to be adjusted to handle the new location of the forums.

I think the old location was http://www.newtek.com/forums/...

Remove the http://www.newtek.com/forums/ and replace it with http://forums.newtek.com/

Been wanting LW in FXPHD for a long time. Modo just got their first course. There is a lot of high end commercial/vfx work done with LW and yet no training showing how it was done.
