Hi!
I want to ask for help. From few weeks, when I close LW, it always closing with some errors (looks like LW has a crash). And when I open LW, program always has changed paths to Images, Objects and Scenes.

Any Idea why? I was tried to reinstall program, but nothing changes.. It is very annoying :)

sounds like your configuration files are either corrupted or lightwave doesn't have permisions to overwrite them. Try to open lightwave with admin priviledges. (right click on icon)

If you are using LightWave 10 or 11, then you need to go to your user folder and find a folder called .newtek that contains your configs and delete them. Uninstalling and reinstalling won't help because those files will still be there.

no, I have LW 9.61 Win32. Previously I had 9.6 Win64 and everything was ok but some plugin did not work properly so I decide to install this version:(

Anyway, anyone knows way to open by default LW in admin mode? I have windows 7 and I'm admin of this computer.

In that case the configs path is not so clear, but you can always search C:\ for files ending in .cfg to track down the four files you can delete to return to "factory condition". These files will *probably* be in your Users\<user> dir. They are:

* LW9.cfg
* LWEXT9.cfg
* LWM9.cfg
* LWHUB9.cfg

The 64-bit versions have a "-64" appended to the end before the extension.

Hi again:)
I thought, that my problem will be solved by reinstall system and LV and by changing my version of LW on a little bit older. But not, after reinstall is exactly the same. Each time when I close the LW, report of crash is appear. Why this happen? I have now installed LW 9.61 (win32), and windows 7 64bit. I erase all config files and program create a new one. And the same..
Maybe someone has an idea?

Then I would say it's not a LightWave issue? You certainly seem to have been thorough in your cleansing. :) Perhaps a graphics card driver issue? What sort do you have?

I always love it when people say "the latest driver"... :) Could you check it is and give me the Catalyst version?

Show screen-shot of Windows crash report (after clicking details etc.) so there is visible module and offset where crash actually happened..

Hi,
Do you have still this problem? You have installed 9.6 and 9.6.1 yes?
Can you run LW and show print screen from hub? (Launch processes, all paths)
