Hey all,

I was just wondering if y'all could post some tips on how to get better/more realistic smoke in LW. I know HV aren't that great, but I know there's some of you that have done awesome things with it and achieved awesome results. Please post tips/screenshots/settings to help the rest of us who want to slap HV ;)

It might help if you start by posting up something youre having problems with. Ive found that how I do smoke changes from project to project depending on the type fo smoke etc.

Exactly what I wanted to say- give us something to work with, and then we can suggest, tweak, try making it better..

ah.. Sorry. It's not so much a current project as it is just a general inquiry about thick billowy smoke. I know I always get the "hypervoxel look" and it looks really "pixelated". The following picture is what I'd really like to achieve. Is it possible with HV in LW?

otherwise I believe many folks are more looking in to and working with turbulenceFD, nothing beats that for smoke and fire.

hypervoxels can work for explosion works and particle trails etc.
But hard to match this made with the demo some time ago...
