Hello guys, I want to know if there is a technique (a magic plugin) to distribute different Zbrush SubTools on layers in Lightwave Modeler?
I found this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGHd1fPygU8

but it seems a bit tedious when you have many SubTool.
Thanx you in advance for your help,
Nicolas
(sorry if this topic has already been discussed, I did not find)

Hey

Not sure if you found an answer to this yet, but what I have been doing is importing the objects from Moderler separately from each layer (requires that you create a separate file from each layer) in ZBrush one at a time and then just use the insert option under the Subtool menu in ZBrush to get them all into one document. Its pain to do if you have a lot of layers! NewTek should really do something about this because the current way is taking too much time!

Hope this helps a bit and let me know if you find a better way.

David

TrueArt's Modeling Pack (http://www2.trueart.pl/?URIType=Directory&URI=Products/Plug-Ins/TrueArt%20Modeling%20Pack)
has Layers To Objects tool to splitting single object with multiple layers to multiple objects.

Surfaces To Layers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB5uKgchh1M)
similar tool but to splitting surfaces to layers.

Parts To Layers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-wXoQm5ZMA)
similar tool but to splitting parts to layers.
