Anyone try this or know anything about it? http://www.quixel.se

Seems like a good price for what it appears to do.

Yes, sweet. The word from the developers who have used it sounds amazing. I already have ShaderMap Pro, but I think this nDo2 can do things it can't.

And the pricing is interesting as well.

It's got some neat features but feels rather hacked together. They essentially tried to make a whole program out of Photoshop actions. If I recall, it felt kind of finicky, like doing a certain thing would mean you couldn't undo anymore.

http://quixel.se/nDo1/ This is for nDo Version 1. This is free and creates a Normal Map using some basic features. I use at work a lot. It works up to Photoshop CS5. I don't know about CS 5.5 and 6.

We tried it at work and it does feel very hacked. We did lot's of waiting for the script to run through it's paces. Don't know if it's been optimized, but don't feel it's worth it. Crazy Bump is faster but expensive.

Out of curiosity, what version of PS were you using and was it Mac or Windows?

CrazyBump does look pretty cool.

I'd be happy using a combination of PixPlant, Crazy bump, and 3D-Coat. CB is just so expensive though...

Philip, a very good CG artist, uses nDo2 and even has a tutorial on using the free version.
