Circify works best if the "average" of the surface(s) you want to circlify is directly along the X-, Y-, or Z-axis. Any place else, and it tends to twist the area so that it faces the closest primary axis direction.

But I agree, that it would be better to work "as expected."

Seems to be borked, working fine in 9.6
You might want to go with Cutting and Pasting that section back, Merge all of it's polygons, Run Untagle, Have something like Bridge or Weld Strip to solve the in between.

I just updated the script by commenting out line 82, the smooth(10,1); command, it seems to work again as the smooth command is giving a different result now compared to pre LW10. Either download script again or comment out that line.

is it so though that Untangle sometimes creates a smoother/cleaner flow?

With Petter's insight it actually looks like you just found a bug in LW11 Smoothing, so it will still affect the plugin.
Doesn't seem to do the same as in 9.6; doing different things on different axis. Try to apply Smoothing on a cube with divisions.

I think it's taken care of, but just so you be advised try to apply Smooth to both layers of the attached object.
Using Strength: 1.0 and Iterations: 10000
The model gets REALLY stretched along the X and when you compare Y and Z, Y is a bit more strecthed than Z.

So, untill fix, might be better to use Smooth in 9.6 only, especially for low density meshes.

Nice spotting guys :)
