Hi there!
Does anyone know if its possible to get a point position buffer to be able to generate a pointcloud on nuke for post relighting?
Cheers!

Not directly, but you can either use Denis Pontonniers nodal pixel filter (free) or shaderMeister: http://forums.db-w.com/index.php/topic,396.0.html

Thanks Lightwolf,
I think my best option is trying to get it trough DP pixel filter, but I have been looking at Lightwikis multipass rendering document and there is anything over there I think I can start from... Do you have any idea?
Thanks!

There's an easy setup in Pixel Filter node editor,
enable the depth buffer in the panel of the node editor,
add a Render Buffer node, connect the Depth output
in a Depth To Pos node, then you can overwrite
the render itself (Color input of the node editor) or
an unused color buffer input and use the Render Buffer
export or Composite Buffer (LW11) for saving the file.

Denis.

did somebody know if deep compositing file export is supported with Lightwave?

Reset surface settings (double click default surface in preset shelf), plug Spot Info World Position to Diffuse Shading, and spread to all surfaces using Spread Surface tool, press F9, and you have in RGB world positions of all spots, save to some HDRI or other floating format to not loose precision.

I put it on a new material

... you can shuffle the channels in nuke if you work with houdini or maya pipeline with different coordination system :-)

Nope... for one reason that's because there's no standards at the moment... neither on the file format side of things (which is expected with OpenEXR 2.0) nor on the compositing side (I suspect Nuke will be first).

You are right, there is no standard with the deep files. But Nuke already offer Deep Compositing and there are workarounds for Maya, Houdini and Renderman to get the pass...
