How did he "film" the retopology part? Never seen it displayed like that before.

Skip to about the 1 minute mark, then tell me how he accomplished showing the retopo while the model is spinning.

retopo is in Blender, but yeah, how the heck did he do that...(!) http://erikalstad.com/backup/misc.php_files/confused.gif

Two viewports? One with camera spinning while getting vidcap.

i think there must be some kind of mouse recorder inside Blender,
combined with a script...

Two viewports? One with camera spinning while getting vidcap.

This would be the most likely. Just set FRAPS or whatever recording software one uses to only capture on one monitor while you do the real work on the other.

I figured it would be some kind of two monitor set up, supposing you can have a sculptris screen spinning on auto like that.

There is a mouse/keyboard display tool built into Blender (really helps with tutorials), but there is something else going on there.

I think that is using the screencast option (added in 2.5) in the camera view while modelling in another vieport, i exclude is compositing because when he work in the "dark side of the model" the framerate slowdown a bit.

Jeez -- I must be tired. I just noticed that I misspelled "Sculptris" in the title of this thread.
