View Full Version : Perfume Bottle, custom design

A little perfume bottle that I've designed and modeled in a couple of days and rendered with dielectric node (very, very fast if used without reflection/refraction blurring, especially in respect to traditional Lightwave refraction system, that, moreover, lacks dispersion).
rendered in 1920x1080 in about 10 minutes with lw10.1 64bit and a dear old Intel Core2quad q6600, all options and radiosity interpolated montecarlo on, ray recursion limit 24.
First image crude rendering, second version with a little of lightwave exposure.

I am refining my skills, since I want to specialize myself in this type of designs/renderings, because I've done some perfume 3d replica before with good results.
So advices and critiques are very welcome.

Bye Bye

Like the design:) But i think, somehow the cap is too dark and lacks the touch of caustics!

I am updating the cap, and I'm rendering with a DP_custom light (wonderful plugin by Denis Pontonnier) of spherical shape with 64 samples and inverse distance falloff, so the caustics will be visible in the shadow (before I have used a spotlight with a cone of nearly 90 degrees with a shdowmap). Soon a new post...
