View Full Version : Inverse falloff?

Dagnabit, I seem to recall (ISTR) there was a trick that would let you get "Inverse Falloff" ('fallON'?) for the various Modify tools. Without a Weight Map, that is.

I'm stretching something and I want it to stretch a little near the cursor, and a LOT radially away from the cursor. If I could invert the Radial Falloff curve, that would be precisely right. (Wait, why CAN'T we invert the falloff curves (besides Linear)?)

I just know I'll be smackin' my head when I get the answer....

You can with linear falloff. Just use the left and right arrow keys or the shape buttons on the numeric panel to switch between the falloff types. Radial falloff is limited to be large at the center only. To get a small at the center falloff you could use the weight tool to create a weight map with the falloff you want. Then use weight falloff on the move, rotate or scale tool.

Not quite the same. For one thing, it's Linear. I want Radial, but with an inverted curve.

Quite odd we don't have it already. Or, :cursin:
