View Full Version : Livestream Plugin Crashes

Have seen similar reports in the forums of Livestream plugin not working reliably. We have brand new 850 Extreme 4b right out of the box.

After anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes (usually, but sometimes it will go longer) it gives the error: Livestreamprocaster.exe has stopped working.

I need multibitrate/mobile encoding, which is why I want the plugin. Have tried various settings, all with same results. Really want the 876 kbps (Medium/Mobile) just to work - will be fine for our application (don't need HD, etc.).

We're going live in 9 days. We begin full-scale testing/live runs Monday. This is for a daily show.

I'm hoping there may be some possible fix (aside from setting up a separate machine to stream to a standalone procaster setup). One of the reasons we went the tricaster/livestream route was for this to work right out of the box.

I read somewhere there may be a potential fix in beta? If so, we're willing to give it a shot.

Thanks!

I've used the LiveStream plug at a multi-hour streaming event without issue. But, if you are worried, you can always do it using a RTMP URL (like you do with other CDN networks).

Can I get multi-bitrate/mobile that way by sending FME stream to Livestream?

You're having more luck than me. Just crapped out after 19 minutes on a test stream here. I opened a ticket with Livestream. Here's the dump:

Kane, good to see you at NAB.

Many on the forum would love to hear details about your successful configuration both in the plug-in settings and hardware used.
