-hi guys
i am planning to become a lw freelance artist

i will architecture renders and due kray and lw11 progress i think is a good solution to start instead the mainstream solution for 3ds max and vray

this is due for a budget reason and the idea lw 11 is cheaper for what i do.

can you suggest me a goo pc/mac to start with it=?

with licences and so on which could be a starting budget

www.narcar.it this is my site to see my modelling, texturing and rendering level

Personally I would go for Core i7 3930K for desktop machine (if single cpu machine)..

I am try to decide between an i7 3930k vs i7 2700k. From what i hear the 3930 is 15% faster but double the price? Would the 3930k become any better on super complex scenes?

15%??

No.

i7 3930 @3.2 is 45% faster than i7 2700k @3.5..

6 cores/12 HT, versus 4 cores/8 HT with almost the same frequency..

I've been contemplating a dual cpu Xeon (maybe the E5645) so that I'd get 12 cores, 24HT to speed up the F9 preview renders (also video encoding) but am not sure if it would be enough of a jump now that the i7 3930 is available, esp considering the higher prices of ram and mobo for the server class stuff.
