Found a video (http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/news/space-technology-news/nasa-discovery-flyover-vin/) of the event. I'd been wondering how they loaded the shuttle on the 747.

If you ever get out to the DC area, one museum you should not miss is the Udvar-Hazy Center near the Dulles airport, where this shuttle will reside. I was there not long ago when the Enterprise was housed there -- absolutely amazing to see the shuttle up close. They have hundreds of planes there, including the SR-71, which broke it's own speed record when they flew it to DC for it's final flight. I sort of take it for granted since I live in the area, but it's the best museum here if you love planes.
