View Full Version : Bake current frame to scene - help

I'm looking for a simple way to 'freeze' a scene which has many objects with deformations and transformations so that I can start a new scene with all the objects in their current state.

One suggestion was to create a key for all objects at the current frame, use 'Motify' to delete all other keys then move the keys to frame zero.

That's great, and would work for standard transformations, but, afaik, create key doesn't take morphs, dissolves and other deformers into consideration.

Any suggestions?

I could get a lot of use out of a plugin which would automate the whole process BTW, if anyone's interested ;)

you could open the graph editor, add every animated item to the list (including envelopes for morphs dissolves what ever) bake the keyframes, then delete all but the ones you want, move them to 0.

yeah, that's the only option I could think of but, having seen how slow LW can be when loading several items into graph editor, I'm not sure how well it will cope with hundreds of envelopes.
