Is there a way to prevent a bone from matching its IK Goal's Scale?

I'd like to scale the goal object down (for purely UI reasons), but was surprised that the Bone scaled too, although the Scale parameters were not set to IK. 8/

bones will only scale with a goal when match goal orientation is used, and theres no way to not have it do that.

Just use item shape on the null and set ur size as desired.

Ahhh. Good to know. :beerchug:

Dang, I was trying to get a flattISH box as an Item Shape, not a flat box, but a box w/just a bit of thickness. That's why I was scaling the goal in the first place.

I guess I'll have to make do with a Grid. Dammit.

::insert requisite gripe for more Item Shape options:: :hey:

Well, you always can use a curve designed by you as null. Create an object with the shape you want, apply show curve in layout, and you have your customized "null" :)
