Hey,

I bought VooCat earlier.. About the same time I bought Lightwave 11. My first few tries with it were not successful. VooCat is inexpensive but seemingly inaccurate in certain circumstances. Here is my first successful try with it:

Cat.MP4 (http://www.Carm3D.net/Cat.MP4)

I don't have my own camera, so this is clip was downloaded (http://www.savevid.com/) from YouTube.

Thanks. I need to find a suitable clip more than 95 frames in length.

Typical cat. Gets a fantastic toy like a floating, spinning hypercube, and then goes off to play in the box it came in...

VooCat, never heard of it, but looked it up and seemed pretty good. But you said you had issues, was that your inexperience or the fault of the program?

Your shot is perfectly integrated and seems pretty rock solid except at the very beginning where the cube seems to slip into position.

If you had some extra frames to track at the beginning it might've held better.
Tell me if I'm wrong, after all the cube is spinning so it might be a trick of perception, and it is only noticeable when looping.

It does have issues... But when it works, it works. This was my first successful track. But not my first track. The two demo scenes that are on the VooCat site also work.. But they are only 20 frames long.

I don't think the box is slipping in the beginning. I have a plane (shadow catcher) on the ground and it's pretty solidly locked in. I think it's just the camera is dipping at the start of the clip. I wish the clip was longer, but without my own camera, I am limited to what I can scrounge up.

Somewhere on the internet someone made a bunch of HD plates available, free. Longer than 3 seconds, surely. Saw 'em, what? 2 years ago?

Greenscreen and others.

Yeah, earlier today someone gave me some (http://www.hollywoodcamerawork.us/trackingplates.html) links (http://www.hollywoodcamerawork.us/greenscreenplates.html) with these kinds of resources. I look forward to playing with them. :)
