I'm making a television and I have a .gif image that I want playing on the screen but I don't know how to load it into lightwave. Can anyone help? Thanks.

No, Gif doesn't work it on Lightwave but if you want an animation on your TV screen, so you must have it like avi or tga (each number) for example, Pic_01.tga, Pic_02.tga which will an animation on your TV screen.

K, well I can convert it to an avi. And if that doesn't work I'll try the .tga's. Thanks for the help!

Oh yeah two more questions:
1) Do I slap the .avi on it just like a regular texture or is there some other way it has to be done?
2) How do I get a purdy avatar?

yep same way. Dont forget to set it the image sequence to sequence in the image editor.

1) If the avi. doesn't show up, make sure that Alpha is 'disabled' in the image editor. Also make sure the frame rate is the same as Layout's.

2) Go to the 'User CP' link (control panel) then to 'Edit options' and load it there. It does take .gif's :D

Thanks everyone I got it goin. As for the avatar I'm at work right now so I can't really do anything here. I'll try to get a purdy one put up when I get home. Are there any restrictions as far as dimensions and what-not?

I think it's 100x100 or 200k maximum, it tells you on the options page
