I heard this on the radio. Apparently it stops you being tracked (until they work a way around it obviously!) & said it wasn't itself collecting data.

Maybe worth looking at

Looks quite useful. I also have adblock which removes most of the adds from websites.

was forever seeing ads about weight loss (not remotely overweight) no matter where I went there they were, gotta be tracking I thought so I installed Do Not Track Plus on my Mac, now my browser is ten stone lighter.

Lots of great tips here, thx for the Ghostery guys, works great in opera.
Now, I knew it was a reason why I'm always seeing those "Find russian girl" type ads...:D

Nice tips.

For whistle-blowing activities. It's slow but it's not exactly used for youtube videos. :D
There are also older browsers' versions with it integrated.

Share me not (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sharemenot/?src=userprofile) allows one to see the social networks' buttons, but not being tracked by them until they are clicked, instead of removing them completely like ghostery.
