Hello there,

Is it possible for an Object cast shadow only onto one object but not the other object?

- You have a tree casting lovely shadows on a Road object and this scene rendered out Octane
- Same Scene but this time we are in LW and there is a guy walking under this tree and this guy Casting shadow on the Road.
- We need that tree Cast shadow on the guy but NOT on the Road.. :(

Thank you for time in advance..

Select the object, Hit P and click the Render tab, and uncheck Receives Shadows

When we uncheck Recieve Shadows for the ROAD- also walking character shadow is being removed.

We need
1- Walking character MUST cast shadow on the road
2- Tree must cast shadow on the Character but not on the road :(

Im not sure if that combo is doable within lightwave directly; you may need to render it out in a couple of passes then composite it.

What about two lights - each one turning off a different shadow?

Aye, clone the light, have one affect one item only, and the other all but that item
