View Full Version : Decimation to Triangles to Quads?

How do I take a decimated mesh (zBrush) or a reduced mesh (Balancer) and transform this triangled mesh into a quad mesh?

I tried one LW plugin, but it didn't seem to work correctly - the UVs got mangled.

I'm not sure if any of these work with UVs though.

3d Coat (http://3d-coat.com/) wins hands down if you really need quality reduction to quads mesh.

I use Blender for this. It's so fast you think it hasn't done anything, then you look and the model is all quads. It might miss a few tri's here and there, but it works really well. And it's free.
