Hello

I'm trying to export Wavefront OBJ from Lightwave 7.0. But for some reason I can't understand, the exporter doesn't include texture coordinates. Is there a fully functional OBJ exporter somewhere? I can't find anything that handles both texture coords and normals.

Yes, it's a slightly more up-to-date version of LightWave than 7 that came out a decade ago? ;)

LW7 is a bit old, true, but it's comfortable like a pair of old shoes.
Maybe I should just learn LScript.

OBJ file format can contain just one UV map, but LWO can have them unlimited. To export UV map with OBJ you need to open Surface Editor, press T on right of Color, and pick up UV map, so exporter knows which one UV map you're interested in.

Thank you Sensei, that solved the problem with texture coords. Is there a similar trick to get vertex normals exported too, or do I have to calculate them myself?

LW v7 doesn't have vertex normals.

IIRC there is needed v9.6 to have vertex normals output in OBJ.
