I was wondering if LW 11 allows a node to be instanced, like a material group in Modo? This would allow different material nodes to share a base node.

I think Pom's Nodes has a node for storing node data and another one for reading node data.

If you will use TrueGroup with Storage File option set to the same file in multiple surfaces/objects, then open file properties and set read-only access to file, none of them will be allowed to overwrite that file.
You can copy and paste that node to entire scene or multiple scenes.
Reload scene, and all places where group is used will have the same node tree setup.

Thanks for the info. Looks like this should be added in a future update.
