View Full Version : radiosity/alpha question.

Hi all,

I'm having some problems getting a clean render with transparent bg.

I have a character that is being lit by a few lights and I am rendering with radiosity turned on. I have my bg colour set to white which obviously affects how the radiosity lights the scene.

The character is also using fiber fx.

The problem I'm having is that the tips of the fur are picking up the white bg colour so I'm almost getting a white stroke around the edge of the character. Not great if I want to place him on a darker background.

If i render with a black bg colour the edges are fine but this seriously affects the radiosity and the render is way too black.

Just wondering of there is any way to get a clean render without affecting the lighting?

Set everything unseen by camera except your character then add a black image in compositing tab>background image.

Ah yes. Didn't think of adding a bg image. Thanks.
